This collection of poems began as an expressive outlet for a young single mother to make sense of her life. Faith plays an important part in this journey. Many of the poems are themes of love, heartache, passion, strife, and victory. A life journey of healing is the outcome from thirty-five years of journaling and writing out prayers to her unseen Creator. Sabela’s desire is for these poems to bring hope and healing for those who have had a similar experiences with a broken heart. Some poems exemplify a psalm-like style which she credits to reading the Word of God for over thirty years. Sabela finds ways to flow with sounds and words that have a “riverly” quality. As her theme of positivity fuels her poetry, the greater messages are of Hope, Faith, and LOVE.
