In the daily challenge of life we face many things that compete for our time and attention and we must make choices about what our priorities will be in this life.  In the attempt to make right choices we often covet wisdom from trusted sources and there is no more trusted source than the Bible itself.  However, it can be confusing and difficult to understand at times which is why many turn to commentaries to help.  The only truly inspired help for us to understand comes from the Holy Spirit, which was made clear to me during my time of in depth Bible study with YWAM.  When we talk about wisdom and insight the one book of the Bible that comes to mind is the book of Proverbs.  Having 31 chapters with short tidbits of wisdom compiled together, it lends itself very well to a daily study because of its structure.  In this book I offer a meditation on a different verse from Proverbs for every day of the calendar year (include leap years) to aid the believer in seeking wisdom from the Lord, who gives to all who ask Him.  I invite the reader to investigate these meditations and add to it as the Holy Spirit gives you inspiration.

Rick Osborn, led to faith in and relationship with God the Father through Jesus Christ during the study of the scriptures, was trained in the discipline of daily searching the scriptures for the inspiration of the Lord by the indwelling Holy Spirit.  Throughout a generation long career as a software engineer, system administrator and security professional, Rick maintained this discipline while serving the Lord as a lay leader in the church in leading singles ministry, being a church deacon, being a youth leader and then, after moving from Northern Virginia to Florida, becoming a elder of a church devoted to revival and seeking to combine the ministry of the Word and the Holy Spirit to provide opportunities to have an encounter with God Himself.  He continues to balance secular work with the ministry of reconciliation that has been entrusted to the body of Christ to inspire a nation to turn back to the Lord.
