Mike Sonneveldt founded The Forged in 2024. After decades of coaching, instructing, mentoring, pastoring, managing, leading and more, Mike's passion for discipling and mentoring men inspired the creation of The Forged.  https://www.theforged.org

Mike's background in business, ministry, education, and athletics has been shaped over decades of experience and growth in various fields. He graduated with a BA in English from GVSU as well as a minor in Physical Education.

Mike has served as a hockey coach for youth ages 4 to high school, directed state hockey tournaments, run retail businesses, taught middle school and high school, served as a young adults pastor, served as dean of the Revive School of Ministry, held the position of Biblical Education Director at Revive Church in Stuart Florida, and is currently COO of Self-Evident Ministries.
